Acrylic album-covers look like glass. They give your wedding or travel album a beautiful crystal clear sharp touch. It will add a sleek and modern addition to your coffee table and they are made to last 100 years (or more). A true keepsake. . .
The biggest question I get asked is “where to begin?”
I have worked with busy clients that have little free time. They know they want to preserve their precious family moments and that they will appreciate having a way to look back on these moments down the road from now. They hand over their family photos and get back to the job of keeping the household running, content in knowing that a beautiful keepsake is in the works and that when it is delivered they will get to browse through all those memorable moments that meant enough for them to take a quick pic.
I have also worked with clients that know just what they want their album to look like. They like thinking of all their precious moments framed or unframed, embellished or simply formatted. They spend the time with me to work through the details. They like being given the options without having to learn software and publishing.
Either way, once it is printed they have a keepsake that is just their style.
This October, schedule a free consultation and you’ll not only have begun, but will be well on your way to holding your album in your hands.
Look. I get it. Our generation is taking more photos than any other generation before. So many photos. Thousands and thousands of photos. And we keep taking more making the so-called problem even bigger and bigger. I am with you on this, I have thousands of photos that I store and manage. My goal is to get your photos to live as they were intended – wonderful memories you can hold on to.
We’re taking photos. And that is a step ahead of the generation before us. We have the tools to photograph the stories of our lives and we are doing that. So let’s give ourselves a break. We have enough to overwhelm and guilt us. Our photos shouldn’t add to that. They should make us feel joy.
Keep taking photos and enjoy the process. Remember why you are taking them in the first place. Cut yourself some slack and get rid of the guilt. Have fun capturing those moments.
Deep breath. Now take that first step. Let’s meet to find out what those could look like when I put them all together in print.
Your kids will thank you someday. Maybe even sooner than you thought.
My to-do list is always long, but turning your photos into an everlasting keepsake is my passion. I believe it is worth it for something that will last forever. That’s what keeps me going. We all have a ton of to-dos, some on paper some not, but don’t let time fly by without saving a few of those precious memories. You know one day you’ll look back and wish you had captured a few more of them. If rounding up your photos, finding album software and designing your own book sounds overwhelming, don’t put it off, pass it on. And check it off YOUR list.
What’s the glue that holds families together? Research points to one simple idea: a strong family narrative. Family’s stick together better if they know the stories of their family. Their current family and their family from previous generations. One incredibly effective way to do this is through photos.
Do you know how your parents met? Do you know the story of your birth? What was it like when Grandma got married?
To revisit those stories, reinforce and pass on those memories, bring them to life in a photo album for all to SEE.
One common theme among families that are close- they retell stories of special moments they’ve created. That is the “why” of all those photos in your phone, right? In the hope that you don’t forget all those moments. And what better way to remember and share with the family than collecting them into a keepsake photo album?
